The English sweetcorn season has arrived and with it Crouch Cobs trading from the Floral Hall, making the most of the short but very sweet season of English corn on the cob.

The race to cook sweetcorn as soon as possible after picking is rewarded with the sweetest flavour, so get these corn husks home and eat them the same day if possible. But if you just can’t wait to tuck into the succulent exploding kernels, the stall will also be selling hot barbecued corn on the cob.
