Sunday, 23 October Apple Day at Borough Market
Borough Market Traders will open up on Sunday, 23 October, for the Market’s sixth annual Apple Day event. This family celebration of the seasonal apple harvest offers visitors the opportunity to sample apple varieties and products including limited edition Apple Day preserves, pies and juices.
Located in the Jubilee Market from 12pm until 4pm, Apple Day celebrates the complete lifecycle of the apple and apple growers, producers will all be on hand to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for all things apple.
As well as apple treats from regular Borough Market favourites including New Forest Cider and Chegworth Valley there will be the chance to try traditional games such as apple peeling competitions as well as storytelling and a story orchard. Also why not enjoy an exciting performance of The Marriage of Wit and Wisdome by local theatre company, The Lion’s Part.
Borough Market's neighbour, Southwark Cathedral will also be holding its Choral Eucharist at 11am, offering a delicious range of apple themed meals in its refectory, and the Ministry of Fun will provide ‘Fun with Apples’ in the Churchyard after the service
