The task of putting the trust's policies into place, while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the market, falls to a small executive team based at the trust's Southwark Street offices.

Managing Director
Keith Davis has overall responsibility for the running of Borough Market. He is fully accountable for the market’s budget and financial results and for managing the workforce. He works closely with the Trustees of Borough Market to formulate the strategic direction of the organisation and is responsible for ensuring that operational programmes are successfully implemented.

Administration
The Borough Market administration team consists of Maria Budgen, Julie Carver-Pierce and Marie Fenton, who between them are responsible for running of the office, dealing with enquiries from the general public, responding to filming, press and events requests and administering the new trader application process. The administration team provides the first point of contact for traders, customers and trustees.

Finance
The finance team, consisting of Claire Fearn, Shiraz Saied and Etienne Massyn, is responsible for the financial procedures relating to the procurement of goods and services, payments to suppliers and invoices to tenants for rent and all other recharges, as well as issuing parking permits. The team also provides the management and board with data and financial reports and works closely with other departments to ensure that funds are being properly accounted for.

Operations
The operations team provides the market’s tenants and traders with the facilities needed to support their properties and businesses. The team is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the market’s facilities, infrastructure and properties and handles the day to day relationship between Borough Market, Network Rail, Skanska and other on-site contractors during the current construction works. Led by David Gledhill and supported by Winifred Joseph, the team also oversees the setting up and taking down of the market, pitch allocation, cleaning and general health and safety. The Market also has its own team of market cleaners (John, Ewan, Philip and Seymour) led by team leader Jean Mondji, and security staff, known as 'beadles' including David Thompson who is the longest serving member of the team.

Property
Katerina Sharpe, Borough Market’s property manager, is also a member of the Operations team and she manages the day to day running of the Borough Market estate. Katerina is assisted by Poppy Lloyd Davies.

Katerina is also supported by Clifford Braithwaite the maintenance technician, who deals with all maintenance issues on the estate.

Legal
Louise Henderson is the in-house solicitor at Borough Market, responsible for the issuing of leases and licenses to traders and the market’s contractual arrangements with its suppliers and event organisers. Louise deals with the day-to-day legal aspects of the market’s operations and also provides legal advice to the management team in relation to the Network Rail works.

Market Development
Borough Market is committed to securing its long term future through the development of viable and sustainable wholesale and retail functions. David Matchett is responsible for providing market development planning and developing initiatives designed to retain the loyalty of the existing customer base and attract new customers.

Communications and Marketing
In order to communicate effectively with its own staff, tenants and traders, as well as externally with its stakeholders and market customers, the market employs Kate Howell as its in-house Communications Manager. Kate is responsible for all media and PR for the Market and managing relations with neighbours and stakeholders. Kate is supported by Michelle Mellins.
