Not only is St George patron saint of England, farmers and shepherds, he is also patron saint of butchers.
This makes him well suited to our St George's Day cookery demo with Luke Mackay, celebrating English butchers and underused cuts. This special demo will run from 12-1.30pm and then 2-3.30pm, with the first demo being BSL interpreted.
Luke's menu will include:
Venison scotch eggs
Grilled ox heart and green sauce
Slow roast shoulder of lamb with rosemary and anchovies, minted peas
Mini Roast beef, yorkshire puddings and horseradish canapés with gravy dipping sauce
Deviled kidneys on toast
Toad in the hole
Luke will also be joined by Justin from Borough Kitchen for the first 15 minutes of each demo, for a knife sharpening masterclass.
