Art in Miniature

Artists and our traders have a lot in common; they carefully select elements to add together to create a finished masterpiece. Whether that masterpiece is the perfect loaf of bread or a beautifully painted portrait, the process undertaken is very similar and this is part of the reason we love to support local art as much as possible.

The latest art project we’re supporting is Art in Miniature. Curated by Hat-trick Design as part of the London Design Festival, the project will see stamp-sized artwork displayed around London, including in Borough Market.

The pieces on display in the Market will all be food themed and are a perfect chance to examine how artists overcame the unique challenge of creating such tiny designs. We’ll be hosting the exhibition from 14th – 23rd September in the Jubilee Market.

So grab your magnifying glass and be amazed at the detail of these teeny-weeny masterpieces!
